(An email sent to a beloved Papa working the night shift)
Hi Papa, How are you doing? I hope you are doing good. Did you eat that cheese stick I gave you? Do you love me? I love you even if you don't love me. Today I have a poem for you to memorize with me. Then, on the 10th when everybody is here, we can say it for them. And, Papa, does the plant work? I hope it does. We ate some brownies for supper. And a cookie and milk. Papa? I discovered I had the last five teeth. The one that wiggles. Papa? Today I had five dollars. Next week we will go to the Dollar Store. Do you want something? I will give you something if you like. Mama says that she doesn't want anything at the Dollar Store, but I'll buy something because I want to be loving to her. Do you want a snicker bar? Maybe I will get a whole package more of gumballs. I'm out of gum. Today we went to Walmart and I saw a pogo stick. And it cost $20. And I only had $5. I want to tell you something. Mama was at Walgreens and the M&M's cost $3 so Mama only had $2. So we went home. When did you get up? Mama said that you'd be up and I believed her. So you were up! When we went to the Dollar Store the other time, I got whatever I wanted because they only cost $1and I said when I got the package of gumballs I can get them for cheaper than a gumball machine and that's why I'm going to get some more. And tomorrow can you spend some time with me? I want to do something with you. Maybe play a game of Catan and maybe I can teach you how to say Latin from lesson 1-9. And I want to play with you. Love, Kristine
